The rules that apply when you use this website and request a service through it.
Effective September 2026
These Terms of Services govern the use of the HomesKnow website and any request for home services made through it. By opening the site, creating an account or submitting a request, the visitor agrees to these terms and to the Privacy Policy that accompanies them.
Anyone who does not agree with any part of these terms should stop using the site. Continued use after a change to the terms counts as acceptance of the updated version.
HomesKnow offers window installation, heating and cooling work, plumbing, solar panel installation, roofing and pest control for residential properties. The website exists to collect service requests, share information about those services and keep account holders informed about their requests.
Submitting a request is an invitation to assess the problem and prepare a written price. It is not a booking or a promise of a particular outcome until that price has been reviewed and accepted.
The site is intended for residents of the United States who are adults under the law of their state. Creating an account requires accurate contact details, and the account holder is responsible for keeping them current.
Every request is assessed before any work is scheduled. After the inspection a written estimate is provided that lists the parts and labor involved. Work begins only after the account holder accepts that estimate.
If conditions discovered during the work differ from what the inspection showed, the account holder will be told before any additional work is carried out, and a revised estimate will be provided for approval.
Payment terms are stated on each written estimate. Unless the estimate says otherwise, payment is due when the work described in it is complete and has been walked through with the account holder.
A scheduled visit can be changed or cancelled by contacting HomesKnow before the visit. Materials that were ordered specifically for a job and cannot be returned may be charged if a cancellation arrives after they were purchased.
By scheduling a visit the account holder confirms that they own the property or have the owner’s permission to arrange the work. Reasonable access to the areas involved, including attics, crawl spaces, roofs and utility connections, is expected on the day of the visit.
The website may be used only for lawful purposes connected with requesting or managing home services. The following are not permitted:
The HomesKnow name, logo, written content, images and page design belong to HomesKnow or are used with permission. Visitors may view and print pages for personal use but may not reproduce them for commercial purposes without consent.
Checkboxes on the signup page allow a visitor to opt in to service messages and to marketing messages by text or phone. Each of those choices is optional and is not a condition of requesting a service.
Anyone who has opted in can reply STOP to end text messages or HELP for assistance. Standard message and data rates from the carrier may apply, and message frequency may vary.
HomesKnow takes care to carry out work to a good standard and to describe services accurately on the site. Even so, the website is provided as it is, and HomesKnow does not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.
To the extent allowed by law, HomesKnow is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website. Responsibility for completed work is set out in the written estimate for that job.
Most concerns are resolved by getting in touch directly, and that is always the first step. If a disagreement cannot be settled that way, the parties agree to resolve it through binding arbitration on an individual basis rather than in court, except where the law provides otherwise.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio without regard to its conflict of law rules.
These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the services offered or in the law. The date shown at the top of this page tells readers when the current version took effect, and material changes will be noted on the site.
